Young and full of the streets, Fat Trel and Shy Glizzy has that demographic buzzing over their music and barking over who the best and the next to blow.
Shy is the youngster, 19 years old and Trel is the young veteran. They both have a fan base that follows them in and out of the DMV. They both rap reckless about street life. Guns, money, drugs, and sex but which, if any, are the next to blow up and go national and take over the mainstream music industry? You decide.

Who likes today’s FM station where music is played the over and over and over again? With so much good music out in the the industry and underground why limit yourself from what makes you bump. The internet has opened the doors for others to create radio stations and have control over the music the people really want and Listen Vision Radio, WLVS, has taken the internet by storm in a very short period of time.
It was just about a year and a half ago that WLVS was created simply to promote the services provided by Listen Vision Recording Studios, but about 6 months ago when local radio personality, Antonio the Cuban Cigar Smoker, started broadcasting live from Listen Vision the flood gates opened and other locals such as P Stew and DJ Alizay joined and listener ship soared. Now WLVS is the largest internet radio station in the tri-state area.
They broadcast live 24 hours a day with various shows that range from one hour to four hours and consist of various genres of music. Many personalities are drawn to the station because of its ability to broadcast globally and to have 100%completete control over the material played and the content of the show as a whole.
WLVS is commerical free radio and is accessible on any computer or smart phone with web access which makes it easier to access than FM radio with no censorship you can hear more music with less hassle.
The vision of music in the DMV and beyond is being seen and heard everyday online at http://www.listenvision.com

“Read a book read a book read a motherfucking book” words spoken by DMV rapper Bomani Armah, words I will always remember because they are so true and important. Knowledge, education, and the ability to effectively communicate is what helps anyone succeed at getting their point across. In hip hop we have been trying to get a point across to listeners of the culture and beyond but commercialism, materialism, and the need for uninhibited has caused our words to be misused and abused. Like the infamous scene on Spike Lee’s “School Dazes” we need to “WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UUUUUUUUUUP!! While they sleep and look in the direction of the dumb we educated black brothers speak, teach, and lead.

For over a decade Bomani Armah has been rapping but also schooling folks on life in his bars and for almost the same time has been schooling folks in the classroom teaching the art of song writing. “Words are power, music can move souls and when blended together just right miracles can happen.”

At various locations around the city, Bomani teaches the youth not to be great song writers but great thinkers. The students are taught to understand that music isn’t about just rhymes but making what you say have meaning. The youth at Words, Beats, and Life, Gorilla Arts at Cesar Chavez, and at the Edgewood Rec amongst other places learn to manipulate life and the English language and create heart felt verbal masterpieces.
After a stent at the University of Maryland, where Bomani was majoring in English, he left to pursue not only music but to take his love of it and combine that with his passion to build a future through educating of youth and show that you can use your words for good. You can be real in your rhymes and understand your reality is important and interesting to be spoken of
Bomani tries to relate to the kids on their level and help them see the similarities in essay writing and how the words in our language and be used properly and make music that has more substance and depth and create an overall better product.

Bomani is still performing and making music of his own with multiple projects in the works to be released this summer. Until then read a motherfucking book.
